Disappointed over Queens Head

Tuesday March 17 Went to Taipei this past weekend to go on two tours of the Northern Coast of Taiwan. One of the stops was Yehliu Natural Park where the ocean, winds have sculptured the rocks. One of the formation was the Queens Head. From the pictures I had seen I expected a huge formation. WRONG!!! It was small and my height so I was disappointed!! Went Jhongjheng Park saw a white statue of Goddess of Mercy in the park,which is 25-meter high. Next was the second tour where we saw Chiufen Village (Jiufen), Hinkuashin Village, Pitou Cape, Nanya Rock Formations, and Bay of Two Colors.

209 days down and 131 to go!!!

March 10 Day 209 in Taiwan. In a previous posting I listed you know when you have been in Taiwan to long when.... Well, I did this without thinking of taking my own picture in Central Park Kaohsiung after Joanna took her picture first. Taiwan people love to take pictures of themselves with either their cellphones or digital camera. I have included that picture. Also a group picture of the teachers and nurse who took me to Costco to buy American items to fix them an American dinner. Costco is just like the Sams Clubs in America. Also a picture of the sunset at Darwin beach which is a two minute walk from my dorm.

SUMMER IN MARCH!!!!

March 5, 2009 Sorry no pics! Just a brief update: It feels like summer in Ohio with the humidity and it is currently 95 degrees. I am not looking for summer here if this is what they call their winter!!!!
